Brandon Kirk is an Associate Creative Director, Senior Art Director and space toy collector. Ray guns mostly. And only the well-designed ones at that.
When he doesn’t have his nose against an iMac grindstone, Brandon likes seeing art house movies, visiting art museums and has a taste for the Mid-Century Modern movement. He attributes this obsession with art and design to his mom who taught him to draw when he was really young. While in high school, he also used to create those custom breakaway banners for the football players to run through on Friday nights. Which is the first and only time his clients ever ripped up his work. Ever.
At Texas Tech University, Brandon studied architecture for a few years, but switched majors after being burned one too many times. Yes, he literally burned himself while hot gluing an architecture model at 3am and decided it was time for a change. He finished up with a BFA in Design Communication with minors in packaging and illustration, going on to work with clients like Domtar Paper Corporation, Frito-Lay, Hasbro, Mary Kay and Shiner Beer.
And the design world has been better for it. With over 15 years of award-winning branding, packaging design and art direction experience, Brandon has been recognized by Communication Arts Magazine, Graphis, Print Magazine, Beverage World, Dallas Advertising League, The Dallas Society of Visual Communication, The Art Directors Club of Houston, LogoLounge and Rockport Publishers.
